Big Lake Adventures will provide you with a quality outdoor adventure,
that you can share with your family and friends, that will last a lifetime.
Located in Lake Country BC, the Jewel of the Okanagan Valley,
we offer guided fishing charters and scenic tours.
Our Licensed guide Mark LaFontaine has over 35 years experience fishing the many lakes of the Okanagan, and Salmon fishing
on our beautiful coast.
We offer trolling from our 20' Explorer, Thunderjet boat.
We fish year round in the comfort of our heated cabin.
Species targeted are Rainbow Trout, Lake Trout, Salmon and Kokanee. Our guided fishing charters are on Shuswap, Mabel, Kalamalka, Wood, and Okanagan lake.
Our fishing methods include jigging, flat line trolling, and downrigging.
We can arrange day trips or overnight stays at a mountain trout lake with boat rentals only minutes from Kelowna.
Home of the Ogopogo, our very own “lake monster” and located in BC’s beautiful Okanagan Valley, Okanagan lake stretches 110 km from Vernon, through Kelowna and ends in Penticton. We fish Okanagan Lake year round targeting Rainbow Trout, Kokanee and Burbot. If you want to target the ‘Big One’ your best time to do this is during the months of October, November and December.
Mabel Lake is one of the more scenic lakes in the Okanagan area. Approximately a 1-3/4 hour drive from Kelowna this pristine wilderness lake can offer some spectacular fishing opportunities. The main fish targeted are Rainbow Trout, Lake Trout, Bull Trout and Chinook Salmon. Fishing for Chinook Salmon is a unique opportunity that takes place from late July to mid September yielding average size fish from 15 to 25 pounds with fish as large as 40 pounds.
Wood Lake is located between Winfield and Oyama. This lake supports a great Kokanee fishery with fish regularly being caught to 2 lbs. By using only the best in ultra light gear and tackle these feisty landlocked salmon can put an angler’s skill to the test. Not to mention they are great eating!
Known as the ‘Lake of Many Colors’, this large lake is located between Vernon and Oyama. Main fish targeted are Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout and Kokanee. This lake can offer some very large Trophy sized Lake Trout averaging 15 to 20 pounds with our largest being a whopping 36 pounds! Because Lake Trout take many years to reach such large sizes we highly recommend releasing all fish caught and taking home pictures and memories only. Let’s keep this incredible fishery for others to enjoy!
Beautiful Shuswap Lake is located in central Okanagan, offers Lake Trout of 20 + lbs and Rainbow Trout up to 20 lb. It also supports a massive sockeye run and chinook run in the fall months.
Also known as “Dog Lake” is located on the southern side of Penticton. Skaha has an abundant population of good sized Rainbow Trout, Kokanee Salmon and Smallmouth Bass. We fish Skaha Lake from March thru December and usually are not disappointed.
